Why one person and not an agency?

Because you'd rather your money pay for the work than for project managers, account executives, and office rent. With Sundrop, you talk to me directly and I do the work. No juniors learning on your project, no committees, no markup.

Why is it cheaper than agencies?

Accepted Answer

Because agencies have 15 people; I have one. I keep prices fair, do excellent work, and earn repeat business from a handful of very happy owners. That's the whole model.

How do we get started?

Book a 15-minute chat through the contact form. We'll figure out which package fits, I'll send a proposal and invoice, and once that's paid we kick off, usually within a week. No long onboarding sequence.

What do you need from me to get started?

Honestly, very little. One 30-minute call to tell me about the business, sign-off on copy and design before launch, and any brand assets you already have. I handle everything else.

Do I have to write the content myself?

Accepted Answer

No. I'll build a draft after we've spoken and send it to you to review. Knowing what your customers actually need to hear is part of my job. I'll get it 90% of the way there to save you the hours, and you make sure the details are right before it goes live.

Why not just use Wix or Squarespace myself?

You absolutely can. But here's what usually happens: you spend 20 hours of your weekend fighting a template, it still looks a bit "homemade," and it's slow as molasses on mobile. My sites aren't built on clunky drag-and-drop builders. They're hand-coded to be lightning-fast, which Google loves for SEO. Plus, you get those 20 hours back to actually run your business.

How long does a project take?

Depends on the package. A "Look Like a Pro" website is typically 2–3 weeks from kick-off to launch. Larger marketing packages take 4–6 weeks for full setup, then run on a monthly cadence. I'll give you a real timeline before you commit. Never a vague "couple of months."

Do I have to pay upfront?

Yes. One-off projects (websites, builds) are paid in full before work starts. Ongoing packages are invoiced monthly in advance. It's how I keep prices fair: no chasing late invoices, no padding rates to cover risk.

How long am I committed for?

Accepted Answer

Three months minimum on ongoing packages, then two months' written notice to end. Three months gives marketing a fair chance to actually start working. Anyone promising results faster is selling you a sugar rush. The two-month wind-down isn't a trap. It's so I can hand over cleanly and leave you with systems that still work. You should never be left in the lurch with marketing infrastructure that breaks the day I leave.

Are there hidden fees or surprise invoices?

No. Every package has a published price on the pricing page, and any add-ons are quoted in writing before any work starts. If the scope changes mid-project, I'll quote the additional work and you decide. No "scope creep" invoices, no surprises at the end.

Do you guarantee specific results?

No, and anyone who does is lying. Results depend on your offer, your market, and your team's follow-up, none of which I fully control. What I do guarantee: the work is done to a high professional standard, on time, and you'll know exactly what's working and what isn't.

How long until I see real results?

Accepted Answer

Three to six months minimum before marketing compounds. Month one is setup. Month two is calibration. By month three you're seeing genuine traction. If someone promises results in 30 days, they're selling you a sugar rush.

Will I rank #1 on Google?

Accepted Answer

"Rank #1" isn't really a thing the way it used to be. Google personalises search results, so two people searching the same term in the same town often see a different order of results. What you actually want is to be one of the first results that *most* of the right people see, in your area, for the searches that matter to your business. That's achievable, and it usually takes 12+ months of consistent SEO work to lock in. Anyone telling you they'll get you to position #1 in 30 days is either lying or about to do something that will get your site penalised.

What happens if you get sick or go on holiday?

I plan ahead and communicate early. Never a surprise outage. Realistically, I work from anywhere with a good laptop and Wi-Fi (often from Spain or Italy when the British weather gets too British), so most "holidays" mean a different view, not a break in your work. If something serious happens, you'll be the first to know and we'll figure it out together.

Do you work with businesses outside the UK?

I can, but in practice almost all my work is with British businesses. The brand voice, market knowledge, and pricing assumptions are all calibrated to UK SMBs, so the fit is strongest there. If you're outside the UK, drop me a message and we'll figure out whether it makes sense for you.

Can you do urgent or rush jobs?

Sometimes, yes. There's a rush-job premium because it means pushing back other clients to make room. But if your timeline is genuinely critical (a launch, a deadline, an opportunity), get in touch and I'll tell you straight whether I can squeeze you in.
